Як я виконала замовлення на ілюстрацію коміксу «Поїздка на автобусі».
How I completed the order for illustrations for the comic strip Bus Ride.
Замовник надіслав мені приблизну текстову частину коміксу, а моє завдання полягало в тому, щоб проілюструвати цей текст у вигляді малюнків. І ось що з цього вийшло.
The customer sent me a rough draft of the comic strip, and my task was to illustrate this text in the form of drawings. And now you can see the result.
Проєкт «Поїздка на автобусі»
Місто вируює, сирени виють, десь знову хтось сперечається з копом, а автобус трясе по вибоїнах. Звичайний день, нічого нового. Але саме з таких днів народжуються історії. Наша — про те, як одна поїздка може стати цілою життєвою лекцією. Тут немає супергероїв у плащах. Тільки звичайні хлопці, які шукають сенс між зупинками і мріють не запізнитися — не тільки на автобус, але й у цьому житті. Кожен із них — зі своїм минулим, зі своїми шрамами і своїми мемами в телефоні. Хтось скаржиться на все це божевілля навколо, хтось просто робить вигляд, що не помічає. А хтось, на зразок старого дідуся з потертим піджаком, може в двох словах сказати більше, ніж цілий подкаст на Spotify. «Дихай, хлопче. Місто нікуди не дінеться. Закрий очі — але тримай вухо гостро». Ось так і живемо: між зупинками, між нервами і надією. Комікс «Поїздка на автобусі» — це не просто картинки й репліки. Це пульс вулиці, де кожна панель — як кадр з фільму, а кожен персонаж — та сама людина, яку ти зустрічав у своїй маршрутці. Ми показуємо, що за крутими фразами і мемами ховається справжнє — страх, гумор, сила, біль і спосіб не з’їхати з глузду, поки чекаєш зелене світло. Іноді це жорстко, іноді — смішно, а іноді — до мурашок, коли старий розповідає, як мрія може зникнути на перехресті разом із чиєюсь долею. Але на кожній сторінці є шанс зрозуміти: усі ми їдемо в одному автобусі. Хтось мовчить, хтось жартує, а хтось просто дивиться у вікно і думає: «Головне — не пропустити свою зупинку». Тож пристібай ремінь (якщо знайдеш, звичайно 😄), сідай зручніше — і поїхали. Це не просто комікс. Це маршрут по життю — зі зупинками «Надія», «Сарказм» і «Душевна розмова». «Поїздка на автобусі» — проєкт про місто, людей і те, як не втратити людяність, навіть коли маршрут непередбачуваний.

BUS RIDE The city is buzzing. Sirens howl. Somewhere nearby, someone is arguing with a cop. The bus shakes as it crawls over potholes. Just another day. Nothing special. And yet, it’s days like these that stories are born. This one is about how a single bus ride can turn into a full-scale life lesson. There are no caped superheroes here. Just ordinary guys, looking for meaning between stops and hoping not to be late — not only for the bus, but for life itself. Each of them comes with a past. With scars. With memes saved on their phone. Someone complains about the madness all around. Someone pretends not to notice anything. And someone — like an old man in a worn-out jacket — can say more in two sentences than an entire podcast on Spotify. “Breathe, kid. The city isn’t going anywhere. Close your eyes — but keep your ears sharp.” That’s how we live: between stops, between nerves, and hope. Bus Ride is not just pictures and dialogue. It’s the pulse of the street. Every panel feels like a movie still, and every character is someone you’ve already met on your daily route. Behind the cool lines and familiar memes there’s something real: fear, humor, strength, pain — and the small tricks we use to keep from losing our minds while waiting for the light to turn green. Sometimes it’s rough. Sometimes it’s funny. And sometimes it hits hard — like when an old man talks about a dream that vanished at an intersection, along with someone’s fate. But on every page there’s a chance to realize that we’re all riding the same bus. Some stay silent. Some joke around. Some just stare out the window, thinking: “The main thing is not to miss your stop.” So buckle up (if you can find a seatbelt 😄), sit back, and let’s go. This isn’t just a comic. It’s a route through life — with stops called Hope, Sarcasm, and An Honest Conversation. Bus Ride is a project about the city, its people, and how to stay human — even when the route is unpredictable.
